Born into a humble family, his mother was illiterate, cooking, ironing and washing clothes for the people, his father was a bricklayer and worked in a trade counting the money.

His findings began when he was three years old when he interrupted his father when he was busy accounting for his business to indicate a miscalculation.
He entered primary school before the age of seven and when he was ten, his teacher asked the class to find the sum of all the numbers between one and a hundred thinking that the class would be busy for some time, he was amazed when Gauss , he raised his hand at once and gave the correct answer. Revealed that he found the solution using algebra.

At the age of 12 years the Duke of Brunswick provided him with financial assistance in his secondary and university studies, which he carried out at the University of Göttingen between 1795 and 1798 at 18 years.
